Description
The Store Manager is to motivate and direct associates to achieve organizational goals and to maintain a high level of productivity and morale. He is responsible for educating, evaluating, counseling, and guiding store personnel in the execution of their job responsibilities and pursuit of career development.
The goal is to maximize sales and gross margin returns and control store costs, shrinkage and expenses. This is to be attained by creating an organized, sales conscious, customer service oriented shopping environment. The Store Manager must move throughout the store frequently, and monitor activities of customers and employees, as well as general and specific condition of the interior and exterior of the store.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
· Must communicate with owner, management, employees and customers. Must utilize e-mail and voicemail systems as the most efficient means of communication between owners and management.
· Must read and interpret written and printed materials and reports, demonstrating a high degree of analytical ability and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of management as they relate to Stanford Home Center operations.
· Must understand and interpret data presented in statistical or numerical form and be able to use it effectively in managing all aspects of store operations.
-Must have minimum of five years of retail experience.
-Building Materials and Lumber knowledge.
