Team Overview:
The PTE team delivers excellence in Product & Test engineering starting at early program stages. We provide Design for Test (DfT) inputs and develop and execute tests for verification, validation, NPI and production. We innovate solutions that verify our silicon products meet our requirements through Sort and RF.
What you will do:
Lead and complete test programs across all phases of the design process, ensuring alignment with quality assurance plans (ISO), specifications, and procedures.
Release and optimize test programs and hardware on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for characterization and production testing of silicon devices.
Source and procure ATE hardware for NPI and production, including load boards, probe cards, and interface components.
Analyze large data sets using JMP, SQL, and MATLAB, and review findings with test and design engineering teams.
Qualify new test hardware and software for release in a production environment.
Contribute to cost reduction initiatives including yield improvement, test time reduction, and test elimination.
Partner with Impinj overseas teams to transfer products into high-volume testing environments.
Investigate production yield issues and product returns to determine root cause and implement effective corrective actions.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8 years of experience or 6 years with Master's degree, or 3 years with PhD and minimum of 3 years of ATE test engineering experience.
Product engineering experience with familiarity in ATE coverage, margin, and binning.
Direct experience with wafer or die ATE testing, NI/Emerson TestStand, and Semiconductor Test System (STS).
Ability to perform conducted RF measurements including S-parameters, AM/PM, compression, noise figure, harmonics and spurious emissions, phase noise, switching speed, bit error rate, adjacent channel power, and group delay.
Experience with NI PIXI packaged part test architecture.
Experience analyzing complex data sets and translating findings into actionable engineering decisions
Demonstrated ability to document technical processes clearly and communicate findings across engineering and cross-functional teams.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
