Description
The Server AP provides gracious, accurate and attentive service to Active Passionate residents and guests in Holbrook dining outlets, supporting a polished restaurant-style experience with strong menu knowledge and professional hospitality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare dining room and service stations before service, including tables, menus, beverages, condiments, silverware, glassware and supplies.
• Greet residents and guests warmly, use names when possible and provide attentive hospitality throughout the meal.
• Present menus, explain daily features, answer questions and make appropriate food and beverage recommendations.
• Take orders accurately, repeat orders for confirmation and enter all items, modifiers, allergies and special requests into TOAST promptly.
• Monitor tables, communicate order status and partner with culinary and food runners to ensure timely, accurate service.
• Inspect food and beverage items before serving; if it is not right, do not serve it.
• Process resident account charges, payments and checks accurately according to TOAST and Holbrook procedures.
• Serve alcohol responsibly when assigned and properly certified; follow all ID and over-service prevention requirements.
• Maintain clean tables, stations, side work areas and dining room presentation throughout service.
• Handle resident and guest concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to leadership when needed.
• Maintain resident confidentiality, resident rights, dignity and professional boundaries.
• Attend training, pre-shifts, in-services and meetings as assigned.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age.
Must read, write, speak and understand English.
Previous server experience preferred.
Food Handler’s and/or Alcohol Service Permits as required by regulation/law.
Have a demonstrated affinity for and ability to work within the structure that includes active, passionate residents, enhanced living residents and inspired living residents.
Possess the ability to deal tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors and the general public.
