Dumaplast USA is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join a great team in Canton, GA. Dumaplast specializes in making high quality kitchen, bathroom, and office surfaces.
7pm - 7 am, Swing Shift Schedule Nights.
Duties and Requirements of the Job:
Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Helps troubleshoot electrical (including 480V systems) and mechanical issues to identify equipment in need of repair and performs those repairs.
Training, Knowledge, and Experience:
At least one year of experience in production maintenance.
At least one year of experience working with 12-volt through 480-volt electrical systems, including three-phase power.
Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical safety practices, including NFPA 70E standards (preferred).
Experience with motor controls, VFDs, electrical panels, and industrial wiring methods.
At least one year of experience maintaining process control systems.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Vocational diploma, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
Occasionally lifts and/or carries up to 75 pounds.
Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular basis.
Work involves sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and bending; may include work in man lifts and on silos.
Works in manufacturing, office, and laboratory environments; may be exposed to heat, cold, and fumes/chemicals.
Regular work around high-voltage electrical systems up to 480V, requiring strict adherence to safety procedures.
May be required to travel to other or customer sites as needed.
Eye protection required.
Hearing protection required.
Steel-toed shoes required on manufacturing and warehouse floor.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Requirements
Experience:
Maintenance: 1 year (Required)
Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
Industrial Electrical (480V systems): 1 year (Preferred)
Installs, maintains, and repairs 480V three-phase electrical systems, including motors, drives, panels, and control circuits.
Reads and interprets electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and blueprints to support troubleshooting and repairs.
Performs lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensures compliance with electrical safety standards when working on energized or de-energized equipment.
Tests and diagnoses electrical components using multimeters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoots motor controls, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), starters, relays, and control panels operating at up to 480V.
Assists in planning repair work using drawings or equipment manuals as needed.
Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, including drywall, painting, doors, and building fixtures.
Performs routine maintenance of material transfer piping.
Conducts preventive maintenance on electrical distribution systems and production equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
Strong welding, fabricating, and metal repair of equipment.
Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance; keeps track of spare electrical components and inventory.
Troubleshoots and solves problems in electrical systems, PLC controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Maintains production machinery, electrical, and mechanical systems and equipment.
