Housekeeper

Description
The Walker Center is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for clients and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas; making beds; changing linens; restocking supplies; and supporting the overall cleanliness of our residential treatment facility.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients, visitors, and staff throughout The Walker Center.
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other facility spaces.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to established cleaning schedules.
Make beds, change linens, and restock towels, bedding, and other supplies as needed.
Replenish restroom and facility supplies, including paper products, soap, and cleaning materials.
Follow proper procedures for handling contaminated materials and cleaning biohazardous areas when necessary.
Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
Complete assigned cleaning tasks and schedules in a timely manner.
Report maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Follow all Walker Center policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and safety practices.


Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with others.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting 50 pounds, extending; and safely working from a ladder.
If in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder, must demonstrate sobriety, self-care, integrity, emotional stability, personal wellbeing, effective communication of needs, self-awareness, and the ability to maintain a low risk of harm to self or others.
Must pass pre-hire requirements including a criminal background check, urinalysis (UA), and TB test.
Must obtain CPR certification within ninety (90) days of hire.
